Choke adjust 2010 Venox 250

My good hints on correct choke adjustment on Venox 250 cruiser.... So.... with the tank and seat off, (don't remove air box top)... also take a couple of bolts out and swing out the thermostat housing and local wiring/hoses away from the frame. Access choke to carby entry on front carb is NOT easy but can be done... The 'fix' is in the next post... Cheers, Jim

Was hard to start, would only fire on one cylinder for about 20 seconds on cold start..... With tank etc (as in above post, removed), noticed that front carby cable had jumped out of the chrome 90-degree (guide) tube, so I unscrewed the black plastic choke fitting, oiled the cable end and re-inserted it... Then pulled choke knob and felt that rear carb still had about 2mm of travel, to go... Made a 2mm split collar from thin aluminium tube, fitted it over the exposed choke cable and into the chrome 90-degree tube. Tested choke(s) cable travel/operation again and fount it to be operating properly... Test started on cold engine... went first kick... HINT: Use cable ties to keep the choke cables in a linear position, so it doesn't try to jump out of chrome guides...
